FIRST TENANTS CHECK IN AT THE VANTAGE

08 February 2022

A £25m investment by developer MRP in a major grade A office project at The Vantage in Belfast city centre has helped secure a trio of prominent tenants to the extensively refurbished building. The interest in the building, which is located in a prime location on Great Victoria Street, reflects the growing confidence in city centre workspaces with engineering consultancy Atkins and Faithful & Gould, a project and programme consultancy having taken a single floor to house their Belfast operations.

The 67,500 sq ft of office accommodation, which has views across Belfast from a large rooftop balcony, will also be home to Optical Express which is set to open a new laser eye clinic next month. Available in self-contained floors of about 6,000 sq ft, The Vantage features a double height feature reception, turnstile security, three x 10 person lifts and a range of staff wellbeing amenities including showers, changing facilities and bicycle storage.

Stephen Surphlis, managing director of The Vantage developer MRP, said: "Originally developed over 30 years ago, we have extensively refurbished this important building in the heart of Belfast through a contemporary and corporate design that is attracting a broad range of dynamic and ambitious businesses.

"Providing best-in-class, environmentally aware workspaces, The Vantage will support the bespoke needs of Atkins, Faithful + Gould and Optical Express who have all located their new offices in the building."

The Vantage is being marketed jointly by Lambert Smith Hampton and Osborne King.

Greg Henry, director at Lambert Smith Hampton, said: "The quality of staff amenities and high levels of natural light offered in The Vantage create a superb working environment. Occupiers demand high quality modern space in order to retain and recruit staff, this is becoming increasingly important as people return to the office."

Richard McCaig, director at Osborne King, added: "We are delighted with the level of interest in the building and discussions are on-going with a range of tenants across the professional and tech sectors for other floors. We also hope to announce a new tenant for the ground floor retail space in the coming weeks."
