QUEENS HOUSE PROVES CUT ABOVE FOR LOCAL HAIR STYLISTS!

08 November 2016

Hair salon, Nu You, is the latest addition to the tenant line-up at Queens House, Queen Street, Belfast, formerly home to the US Consulate, report letting agents, Osborne King.  Since opening in 2013, the business has expanded rapidly and re-locating has enabled its owners to more than double their former salon space.

Commenting on the move, owner, Michael Moorhead, said, “We launched  the business three years ago with just two members of staff, however since then, we have taken on five more employees and reached a point where we had simply outgrown our existing premises.  Our new salon not only has a great central location, but also offers us the space to expand the business even more and we have room for at least another five stylists.  We are also planning to create a new beauty department within the salon, which will enhance our current offering to clients.”

Chris Sweeney from Osborne King who negotiated the letting added, “It is encouraging to see an increasing number of local businesses and companies re-locating due to expansion and Nu-You is a prime example of this.  We also recently completed a first-floor letting within the building to The Post Office NI, which is basing its training headquarters in Queens House whilst the Utility Regulator has renewed its lease for 24,000 sq ft of upper floor space for a further ten years, all of which proves that there is significant demand for high-quality office space within the city centre.”

Although almost fully occupied, it is expected that the remaining 2,400 sq ft of office space available will be snapped up within the near future.
